Take JOY, You Have NOT Been Forgotten!
Isaiah 40:26-31, The Passion Translation: Lift up your eyes to the sky and see for yourself. Who do you think created the cosmos? He lit every shining star and formed every glowing galaxy, and stationed them all where they belong. He has numbered, counted, and given everyone a name. They shine because of God’s incredible power and awesome might; not one fails to appear! Why, then, O Jacob’s tribes, would you ever complain? And my chosen Israel, why would you say, “Yahweh isn’t paying attention to my situation. He has lost all interest in what happens to me.” Don’t you know? Haven’t you been listening? Yahweh is the one and only everlasting God, the Creator of all you can see and imagine! He never gets weary or worn out. His intelligence is unlimited; he is never puzzled over what to do! He empowers the feeble and infuses the powerless with increasing strength. Even young people faint and get exhausted; athletic ones may stumble and fall. But those who wait for Yahweh’s grace will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their race without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN!
I had a vision this weekend of two rooms. One was a large room with big windows opened wide to let the sunlight stream through. In the middle of the room was a large table with a giant BIRTHDAY CAKE. There were balloons and streamers decorating the room, and it was set for a large party.
In the second room, right next door, there was a person sitting in the dark. They were still in their pajamas, and feeling a little discouraged because they THOUGHT that everyone had forgotten their birthday. They had been waiting and waiting all year for this very day, and yet they were sitting alone in the dark, head down, NOT REALISING that their very own party was waiting for them in the room just next door. I sensed the Lord say that many right now are feeling the discouragement of waiting for something that they think God has forgotten about, leaving them feeling like they are completely unseen and a little weary. But the Lord says, YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN! He says, I SEE YOU!!! I hear Him say, LIFT UP YOUR EYES! If you are weary, let HIM be the lifter of your head (Psalm 3).
I believe that this is a season for many to rely on the divine grace of the Father to LOOK UP, GET UP, and DRESS FOR THE PARTY. Some may need to move to another “room” before you start to see the light again. Either way, let HOPE arise as you REMEMBER the promises of God over your life. I hear Him say that THE CAKE IS JUST NEXT DOOR, and the BALLOONS ARE SET OUT FOR YOU! It's nearly time to celebrate, so get ready.
You are SEEN. You are KNOWN. You are LOVED. You are NOT FORGOTTEN.
