This week, the Lord spoke to me about the spirit of the antichrist.
The antichrist spirit, mentioned in the New Testament (primarily 1 John), is the Greek word 'antichristos.' It literally means one who is against or who opposes Christ. The sobering part is that it also implies a spirit that is at work who is not just “against” Jesus, but INSTEAD of Jesus (Strong's G500).
Jesus is the LION of the tribe of Judah (Genesis 49; Revelation 5:5), but the devil hides in the shadows trying to be LIKE God (1 Peter 5:8 states that he is “like” a lion, seeking whom he may devour). COUNTERFEIT.
The devil is a liar. There is no truth in him (John 8:44), so he works in shadows, deceit and counterfeits.
The hope of the nations is in the TRUE LION. The TRUE Jesus. He is the Light that shines in the darkness, which the darkness cannot conquer (John 1:5).
Church – regardless of your demographic, denomination or physical location – we cannot entertain even the idea of the counterfeit. We cannot waiver or compromise in any way. The shadows MUST BE DESTROYED.
“And Elijah came near to all the people and said, ‘How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.’ And the people did not answer him a word.” – 1 Kings 18:21
The shadows are not safe, and they are not the LIGHT that Jesus had paid for us to live in! The shadows are where the “little foxes” breed, and we are called to execute those little foxes without mercy. We cannot allow them to grow and devour the entire vineyard (Song of Songs 2:15).
Church, we are EMPOWERED, through the real Spirit of Christ, to stand in the warmth and light of the Father’s love and the victory of Jesus. Lukewarm is not an option. Compromise has now reached the point of actually taking you out, because it is a lie that partners with the antichrist, “instead of” Jesus spirit. Compromise is dangerous, and its goal is to sabotage the purity of the Bride.
We MUST stand in the Light, FOR the light, and AS the light. There is only room for ONE Jesus, and He does not dwell in the shadows. He sits higher than compromise, higher than counterfeits, and He invites us to go higher still with Him.
Jesus alone is THE way, THE truth, and THE life (John 14:6). Jesus brings RECONCILIATION TO GOD and to His holiness. Jesus brings TRANSFORMATION, and not toleration. Romans 6 says that He SETS MAN FREE from the power of sin and we are not to continue in it.
The time has come for the Body to stand firm on CONVICTION. Conviction of what Jesus actually did for us and why we, like the disciples, dropped everything to follow Him. Conviction of the authority that we carry in Him and the power in His Name. Conviction of the holiness of our Father God, and the glory that He wants to pour out upon His pure and spotless Bride in this last hour. It is TIME for us to step up, receive in full and actually ACCEPT every birthright He has given us in the TRUE Christ.
Beloved ones – Jesus, our TRUE CHRIST, has disarmed and conquered darkness. He has overcome the shadows. He is roaring as the ONE, true LION, and He has cracked through the dark places to RESCUE His Bride. Colossians 2:16 says that having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Wavering and compromise cannot stand in the light of His glorious presence. The “instead of” Jesus spirit must be EXECUTED, and not allowed to grow in our lives. May we live as light, bursting forth through the darkness and bringing TRUTH and healing to many, in the True Name of Jesus!
“Then my favor will bathe you in sunlight until you are like the dawn bursting through a dark night. And then suddenly your healing will manifest. You will see your righteousness march out before you, and the glory of Yahweh will protect you from all harm!” – Isaiah 58:8, TPT
