A Word to Those Who are Birthing Destiny

Updated: Jan 21, 2020

Birth: the emergence of a baby or other young from the body of its mother; the start of life as a physically separate being (google.com)

The Lord has been speaking to me lately about giving birth to destiny. To give birth, we must first go through the PROCESS of pregnancy. Yet to become pregnant, INTIMACY is what is needed.

Process isn’t easy. It often comes with many tears. It involves growing, changing, and stretching in areas that we never thought we could ever be stretched in. Sometimes, a little “sickness” may occur as our bodies begin to align to what must happen in order for us to produce a healthy fetus.

My friend, Jodie Hughes, stated recently on Facebook: “Many abort destiny, not because they didn’t believe in His promise, but because they didn’t like His process.” WOW…what a challenging and sobering thought.

“And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” - James 1:4

“…so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” – 1 Peter 1:7

How does one fall pregnant and begin this process? They experience INTIMACY. Two people go into a private room. They are vulnerable, they experience oneness, and seed is implanted. The product is conception of something more beautiful and wonderful than they could have ever imagined…NEW LIFE!

The Father’s Heart

I feel like the Father wants to speak to two groups of people in this season of birthing destiny.

First, I hear Him say, “TRUST MY PROCESS!” Like my friend Jodie stated, it’s not unbelief that holds back our giving birth; it’s actually not allowing God to follow through with His PERFECT TIMING. Habakkuk 2:3 says, “Though it tarry, wait for it; for it will surely come, it will not delay.” His timing is not delayed in your life – it is for an APPOINTED TIME, and in order for our destinies to come to full term without complications we MUST accept the pregnancy process with all it’s difficult symptoms.

Do not abort what God has for you because you are feeling a bit impatient or uncomfortable. What He has is better than you could ask, expect or imagine.

For the second group of people, I feel strongly that the Father would say to go deeper and higher into the inner chambers with God. Go into your Secret Place and remain there until you feel the release. In this place of intense intimacy, you will conceive the life for your future destiny, but this will happen AFTER you have fully and most vulnerably EXPERIENCED HIS LOVE.

Song of Songs 4:7-8, TPT: Every part of you is so beautiful, my darling. Perfect is your beauty, without flaw within. Now you are ready, my bride, to come with me as we climb the highest peaks together. Come with me through the archway of trust. We will look down from the crest of the glistening mounts and from the summit of our sublime sanctuary.

We were created for intimacy. Jesus died so that we could have intimacy with the Father. Intimacy trumps calling, destiny, even breakthrough. Intimacy is also the thing that gets you through the process.

If you are in the process of giving birth to a dream, DON’T GIVE UP! You are so close, and it will be SO worth it when you get to lay eyes on that new life that God has divinely birthed in you. Rest in His Appointed Timing.

And if you are in the tension of wanting to birth something amazing but not knowing how, GO BACK TO THE SECRET PLACE. Intimacy is the key. Open yourself completely to Him, and allow Him to implant His Holy seeds of purpose inside of you.

“I am the Lord; in its time I will hasten it.” – Isaiah 60:22
